Railway and water safety
Railway tracks
The railway tracks that run through the centre of Goole are a potential safeguarding risk to our children. Children need to understand the dangers of trespassing on the railway tracks.
Network Rail, in partnership with Live Learn, are working to help raise awareness of the dangers on the railway tracks. They have produced a 15 minute video that you can share with your children at home. You can access the video here. Enter this e mail address into the 'I am registered' field: railsafety@livelearnuk.com.
We would advise you to view the video prior to sharing it with your child.
Port and Rivers
The East Riding is a county that has a number of rivers, canals, becks, drains and lakes.
It is important that we encourage our children to act safely around water and to understand the risks, such as cold water shocks, currents, shallow water, etc.
