I joined the Governing Body in December 2018. I am an HR Advisor working in the food manufacturing industry for a leading sugar confectionary organisation. Kingsway Primary School has always been close to my heart having spent my early years here as a pupil alongside my younger siblings. I am now also a parent of the school so have had the opportunity to see the school from a different perspective.

In my role as a Governor, I am committed to supporting Kingsway to be the best it can be for all pupils, parents and staff alike. I am currently linked to monitoring the impact of the Pupil Premium Grant.

Staff Governor: Ms Jackie Gormley

Many of you will recognise me from the school office. I am looking forward to my new role representing staff on the school's Governing Board.

Co-opted Governor: Rev Philip MacDonald

I moved to Goole in 2018 when I became minister of Central Church on North Street which is a combined Methodist and United Reformed Church. I have been involved with primary schools for many years through taking assemblies and assisting with the RE curriculum and have served as a governor twice before. I am keen to be involved in community life and hope that I can play a part in developing links between the school and the local community. I look forward to getting to know Kingsway school and serving on the governing body.

Co-opted Governor: Mrs Lindsay Newton

I became a governor in October 2021 after working with the school and governing board for three years in a professional capacity as a Governor Support Officer for the Local Authority. It was through this role that I saw how important governors were to a school and how they could support the positive and ongoing development of children’s education. I’m hoping that my varied experience in governance and a background in finance can be used to support the school.
