Starting School September 2022

We are in the process of putting together our new starter packs for children who will be joining our Penguin and Giraffe classes in Reception (Foundation 2) in September 2022. You will receive this information alongside registration forms at our Parents Evening on Tuesday 14th June at 4.30pm.

Autumn learning

During the Autumn Term our topic will be "Amazing Me". We will be publish more details as September approaches.

Learning to Read

During the autumn term, children will learn their Set 1 sounds. You can find out about how children learn to read from our phonics and reading curriculum page.

Numbers

Using the Mastery Maths Approach, during the autumn term children will work with numbers 1 -5.

the numbers one to five represented as coloured number blocks. 1 is a red block. 2 is two orange blocks. 3 is 3 yellow blocks. 4 is four green blocks and five is five blue blocks. They all have faces too.
